MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES PRESENTATIONS

Imagen
Welcome back 😊   This will be an interesting entry because I will be explaining the group presentations about the Multiple Intelligences developed by Howard Gardner. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We started with the Visual-Spatial Intelligence and what we learned about this intelligence is that it deals with spatial judgment and the ability to visualize with the mind's eye. Creating mental images and thinking in pictures and three dimensions. Also, one interesting point about it is that people who have strong spatial intelligence are artistic. Students with this intelligence may respond well to organizing vocabulary using mind-map or spidergram and also if a teacher is interested in developing this intelligence in their classes they use colors, pictures, diagrams, and realia. Also, we learned how to develop this intelligence , there are daily activities that can be usefu...

MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES

Imagen
Hello, Welcome back to a new entry 😊   Today, we started a new topic “Multiple Intelligences” and I am very excited about this topic because the class is divided into groups to explain each multiple intelligences, but I will explain more about each group presentation in my next entry. Today, I just want to provide a brief explanation about what is multiple intelligences and explain how many they are. Multiple Intelligences refer to a theory describing the different ways students learn and acquire information. These multiple intelligences range from the use of words, numbers, pictures, and music to the importance of social interactions, introspection, physical movement, and being in tune with nature. Is a theory posited by Harvard developmental psychologist Howard Gardner in 1983. And the idea behind the theory of multiple intelligences is that people learn in various ways. One quote that I like from Garner is this one “I believe that the brain has evolved over milli...

SUMMARY OF THE METHODS

Welcome :) For this last class, before the quiz and the test of the first register, we had a little activity where we recap the methods, we work in groups, and each group explains the most important things about each method, this helps us with the evaluations. 1. THE GRAMMAR TRANSLATION METHOD 2. THE DIRECT METHOD 3. THE AUDIOLINGUAL METHOD 4. THE SILENT WAY 5. THE TOTAL PHYSICAL RESPONSE (TPR) 6. SUGGESTOPEDIA 7. COMMUNITY LANGUAGE LEARNING It was very helpful to have a summary of the methods. And here is the answer that I believed you have been waiting for. Which one is my favorite method? Is hard to decide but at this moment my favorite one is the Silent Way, I like to learn with color, rods, etc. Thank you for all the support to my blog Until next time With love, Kat

COMMUNITY LANGUAGE LEARNING

Imagen
Hello, Welcome back :) I am sad because this is the last method that we study in this register, but let me explain and learn together about this method that is called:  COMMUNITY LANGUAGE LEARNING Is a language teaching method that involves psychological aspects and students work together to develop what skill of a language they would like to learn. In this method, nothing is prepared. The students are expected to talk about some topic of their interest. As they talk, their conversation is recorded to be analyzed later. When analyzed, what is worth teaching is determined. We did the activity of talking about different topics of interest for 2 minutes for each topic and record the conversation, later we analyzed it and we got the important thing that can be taught to others. To conclude, for this method we need our pairs to back us up, to learn together as a community, and also, with this method the students could develop their participation in the classroom conversation. That...
