MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES PRESENTATIONS
Welcome back 😊
This
will be an interesting entry because I will be explaining the group
presentations about the Multiple Intelligences developed by Howard Gardner.
We
started with the Visual-Spatial Intelligence and what we learned about this
intelligence is that it deals with spatial judgment and the ability to visualize
with the mind's eye. Creating mental images and thinking in pictures and three dimensions.
Also, one interesting point about it is that people who have strong
spatial intelligence are artistic.
Students
with this intelligence may respond well to organizing vocabulary using mind-map
or spidergram and also if a teacher is interested in developing this
intelligence in their classes they use colors, pictures, diagrams, and realia.
Also,
we learned how to develop this intelligence, there are daily activities that
can be useful like organizing our room, and there is no age limit to develop this
intelligence. Other activities that are useful are: using spatial language in every interaction
(teaching vocabulary related to figures), playing construction matching games (different
colors, and shapes), playing games like Tetris or Minecraft, solving puzzles and mazes,
and exploring photography.
Some
of the benefits that we learned were:
Success
in solving many tasks in everyday life.
The
use of maps in unfamiliar cities
Merging
into high-speed traffic
Orienting
yourself in your environment
Some
fields of application
Math,
Natural Science
Engineering,
economic forecasting
Meteorology,
architecture
Professions
Graphic
designer
Civil
engineer
Surgeon
Tour
guide, etc.
The
activity that this group did was related to shapes with tangrams because tangrams
are great for enhancing spatial reasoning, we participated in this activity but
we did not win, let me post a picture of what we needed it to do, but our group
did not have luck this time.
Here
I share a picture of the group members:
I
hope you enjoy reading about this Spatial Intelligence.

Then,
we continue with "Logical-Mathematical Intelligence” my group was in charge to
explain this intelligence, we begin with the definition, and we explain to our classmates
that Logical-Mathematical is the ability to understand, manipulate, and apply
logic, numbers, and reasoning to comprehend how something works.
We
explain as well that children with logical-mathematical intelligence have several
advantages, and some characteristics that we can identify are:
•
They are excellent at analyzing numbers, patterns, and their connections.
•
They have strong problem-solving abilities and learn best by reasoning and
logical sequencing and analysis.
•
They enjoy being well-organized as well as classifying and categorizing items.
•
They enjoy working with abstract concepts and conducting scientific
experiments.
•
They enjoy using logic and facts to investigate problems, and they base their
decisions on facts and common sense instead of emotions and personal feelings.
•
They have good mathematical skills and can manipulate numbers easily.
Careers
where intelligence is involved:
1.
Accountant
2.
Actuary
3.
Mathematician
4.
Auditors
These
are some activities to implement logical-mathematical intelligence learning:
1. Logic puzzles
2. Mind games
3. Riddles
4.
Board games
5. Solve tricky situations
6. Scientific experiments
7. Classify objects
8. Learn to code
We
did some activities to see if our classmates have a good memory or not, one was about
to remember where the things were and then match them together the second was to
locate words, it was very fun.
If
you have questions about this intelligence, please let me know.

Now, let's discuss what we learned about “Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence” it refers to a person's ability to process information physically through hand and body movement, control, and expression. It is also known as the physical learning style or tactile-kinesthetic learning style. People with bodily-kinesthetic intelligence may seek out touching and manipulating objects when learning about them.
They enjoy creating work with their hands, may have a lot of energy and need to move, and may be talented athletes. Kinesthetic learning-styled people enjoy school activities such as drawing, modeling, sculpting, drafting, shopping, athletics, dance, and hands-on sciences.
But how do they learn best?
People
with bodily-kinesthetic learning styles learn best when they are permitted to
use their tactile senses and fine and gross motor movement as part of the
learning process. They often prefer direct involvement with the material they
are learning rather than worksheets or reading from a book.
Kinesthetic learners do less well when tasks are focused only on reading or listening to lectures without being able to manipulate an object or move. In such cases, a teacher might offer a sports-related example so the student can at least connect the material to physical actions.
Some
activities that require physical movements:
Games,
acting, dancing, painting, exercise
Sports,
pantomime (fun to practice vocabulary and forming sentences)
This group created a fun activity, was about mimics, we were in groups of 4 one of the members was doing mimics, and the rest were guessing what the mimics were about.
This
is all the information about this intelligence, I will be posting a picture of
the members

The third group explains "Linguistic intelligence", we learned that involves the ability to understand
and use spoken and written language. This can include expressing yourself
effectively through speech or the written word as well as showing a facility
for learning foreign tongues.
Some
characteristics:
Learn
new languages easily.
Expansive
vocabulary.
Accurately
language to convey the meaning.
The facility in writing and speaking.
Love
reading.
Understand
and follow the rules of grammar.
William
Shakespeare was one of the famous people with high linguistic intelligence.
The
main benefit associated with linguistic intelligence is the ability to
communicate with ease. Communication is the key when it comes to connecting
with other people in your surroundings.
Activities
to improve linguistic intelligence:
Reading
books, newspapers, and magazines or listening to stories
The
activity that this group created was a Kahoot game with different questions related to vocabulary. It was a nice presentation, here is a picture of the
group members:

Musical Intelligence
About
this intelligence, we learned that is the ability to express and transform
musical forms through the voice or musical instruments
Ability
to express emotions through music and enjoy it.
Special
auditory sensitivity to capture and recognize sounds, rhythms, and melodies.
“Music
is the color for the world and everything in it.”
Examples
of games to stimulate this intelligence:
Words
and memory
Drawing
the music
Discovering
the echo
What
is music?
Rattle
People
with strong Musical Intelligence are inclined to:
Easily
learn songs or play musical instruments.
Have
an excellent sense of rhythm.
Hear
music in their heads throughout the day.
Identify
the different instruments playing in a song.
Use
intonation in their voices while speaking to others.
Be
good at dancing.
The activity of this group was “guess the song” it was funny how the groups that participate were trying to guess the song they were playing.
Here

This is the first round of presentation, on my next entry you will be able to find the next round, so stay tuned.
With love, Kat
