My name is Katherine Reyes, a Student at the Universidad Evangélica de El Salvador, currently, in my last year of this amazing major in translation and interpretation, and this semester, I have the opportunity to be on this amazing subject “English Didactic” with an incredible teacher that once you started reading the blog you will realize how cool is to be in his classes.

THE AUDIOLINGUAL METHOD

 Hello :) Welcome to my new entry where I am going to explain the AUDIOLINGUAL METHOD , this is the third method that we have been studying in our didactic class. Its also known as the ARMY METHOD and originated during World War II when the armies needed to become orally proficient in the language of their allies and enemies. It's the first method based on linguistic theory and behavioral psychology. It emphasizes de teaching of listening and speaking before reading and writing and this method uses dialogues as the main form of language presentation and drills as the main training techniques.
