Body language & coordination, and improvisation"

 Welcome to a new entry :) 

Again, I am so excited to explain the exercises we performed in class related to body language, coordination, and improvisation. I believed I have mentioned this before but this is my favorite class, I am never bored or sleepy because the teacher Orlando knows how to keep us entertained. 

The first exercise was about "Keeping focus" We had to keep eye contact with the person in front of us while being serious and was a difficult task because my classmate was making jokes and also because I am not a serious person but I tried my best on this exercise and I will continue practicing because as a teacher is important to be serious when needed so our students will take our words in a better and serious way. Also, we continue keeping eye contact with one person as we were walking around the classroom this exercise was easier because when you are doing something else like talking, walking is easier to keep eye contact with the other person instead of just standing there and being serious while eye contact.

The second exercise was about "Expressing emotions with our face and body" so in this exercise basically we were trying to make the person in front of us laugh out loud making weird things with our body or weird faces. Also, we were walking as a model around the classroom as you change your sight: angry, happy, sad eyes, etc. I am a shy person so for me this task was a little difficult at the beginning but then I was confident about it, I had fun and to finish the task of expressing our emotions we had to compliment our classmates as we were walking around the classroom.

The third exercise and the one that I believe we all enjoyed was "Improvisation" We were divided into groups each group had to choose one movie scene once each group selected the scene all the groups exchange scenes so we can improvise it, we choose one from the Toy Story Movie and we provided that scene to another group in the classroom, and that group as well provide to us with a scary movie scene. We were the first group to participate because nobody wanted to be the first, so in the end we did it and it was improvising, I know improvising can be challenging but I truly believed we did a good job we made out teacher and classmates laughs.  Also, with the same groups we had to choose an instrumental song so our classmates can improvise a scene depending on the background sound. We choose "Oceans--Hillsong" for the other group and their choice for us was the song  "My Way-- Frank Sinatra" It was funny how we all created an interesting scene just by mimicking depending on the sound, depending how the music makes us feel, we decided to do a romantic scene because that's the way the sound makes us feel but the other groups did some funny scenes that it was hard to stop laughing. 

And to finish the exercises we ended by saying bye with speech and movement.
